Sweet Peas for Summer
Sweet Peas are an essential part of the Summer Garden with their beautiful blooms and delicious scent.
So, how do we keep our Sweet Peas blooming all summer long?
- When the Sweet Peas are 10cm tall, pinch out the growing tip to encourage bushiness.
- Feed once a week with a liquid feed such as Tomato feed or with a Comfrey feed, which can be made from Comfrey that grows in the garden. The weekly feed can be incorporated within the watering regime.
- Pick the Sweet Pea flowers regularly to encourage further flowers.
- Towards the end of August, let some of the flowers turn to Seed so that you will have a supply of Seed for the following year.
And, finally, sit back and enjoy their beauty and gorgeous scent.
Enjoy..
